About this scholarship

Located on England’s south coast, the University of Brighton is a public university with four campuses: one in Brighton and one in East Bourne.                                                                                                                            Its origins date back to 1858 when the Royal Pavilion hosted the opening of the Brighton School of Art. In 1992, it was elevated to university rank.                                                                                                                At the University of Brighton, more than 18,000 students from more than 150 countries make up a welcoming, varied, and inclusive community.                                                                                                                            At Brighton, education is primarily experiential. Aim and Benefits of the University Of Brighton Masters Scholarship

Scholarships of £2,500, £1,500, and £1,000 will be given out; the applicants that best fit the requirements will receive the greater sum.                                                                                                                                        The tuition for the first year of study is waived as a result of these scholarships.

Entry requirements

The tuition for the first year of study is waived as a result of these scholarships.

To be qualified to apply, you need to:                                                                                                             be a brand-new, international fee-status student with an offer to enroll in a full-time postgraduate-taught degree program that begins in September 2024 and lasts at least a year.

  1. You won’t be qualified if you’re taking a PGCert, PGDip, or PhD course. You are a BSMS applicant.
  2. You are a government-sponsored student at UBIC or any other partner college or affiliated institution of the University of Brighton
  3. You are enrolled as an ongoing student unless you are beginning a new postgraduate program.
  4. In a prior round, you submitted an application for an international scholarship.

The University of Brighton International Scholarships applicants in the UK will be considered based on basis for their exceptional accomplishments in a specific field of study and academic merit.                                          The candidates’ proficiency in the English language will also be taken into consideration.
Additionally, the applicants must show that they have the finances sufficient to cover the remaining expenses.

Frequently asked questions

When will I see the scholarship deducted?                                                                                                        If you have paid 50% of your tuition before the October 31 deadline, you may apply for the scholarship after that date.

You must pay £7,950, which includes your £5000 deposit (if necessary), if your tuition cost was £15,900 and you were granted a £2,000 scholarship. This is 50% of the total charge amount before the scholarship is subtracted.

I’ve been awarded a scholarship for September 2024 entry. What do I need to do next to receive the scholarship?                                                                                                                                                            Accept the offer you made on Student View.                                                                                                        Make a deposit for your tuition.                                                                                                                              By the deadline, apply for your CAS.

Can I use my scholarship for other means? eg housing                                                                                    The scholarship can only be used to lower your first-year tuition.

I have deferred my enrolment, can I use my scholarship for next year?                                                      You can’t postpone your scholarship to a subsequent academic year; however, if you do so, kindly inform internationaloffice@brighton.ac.uk.
