Osimhen disappointed with draw, hails rival striker Icardi

Victor Osimhen has said he is unhappy Galatasaray could not beat Kasimpasa, while also saluting rival striker Mauro Icardi.

On Saturday night, ‘Gala’ led 3-0 only for home team Kasimpasa to fight back and snatch a draw.

“We are unhappy as a team. We deserved the three points. But football is like that, sometimes you don’t get what you deserve,” Osimhen said.

“I am happy with my first two goals. But we are unhappy as a team because of the draw.

“We have to work hard and focus on winning the next match. I am happy with my own performance but we will work harder in the upcoming matches and do better together.”

Osimhen also praised Icardi as a “big brother”.”I have a good relationship with Mauro. He is a leader, he protects and looks after all of us. He is also a big brother to me. Everyone sees this,” he said.

“We celebrate the goals together.

“As I said, it is a real privilege to play with him.”
