In the entertainment industry, certain couples shine brightly, not only for their individual talents but also for the support they offer each other. These couples go beyond mere words of encouragement, they actively engage in each other’s creative journeys. OGHENOVO EGODO-MICHAEL takes a look at some of these couples

Kizz Daniel and wife

Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, aka Kizz Daniel, and his wife, Mjay, have captured the hearts of fans with their innovative marketing strategy. Whenever Daniel releases new music, he shares adorable videos featuring his wife, where they dance and ‘vibe’ together, infusing an intimate charm into his work. In one particularly cute video for his song, ‘Twe Twe’, the couple donned matching black outfits, showcasing their chemistry. His wife also joins him during video shoots and even live performances.

Yul Edochie and Judy

Yul Edochie and his wife, Judy, apparently have a partnership that is built on mutual support. Since their marriage, they have collaborated extensively in acting and film productions. Their engaging couple content keeps fans glued to their social media pages. Recently, Yul established True Salvation Ministries, with Judy proudly taking on the role of ‘Mummy G.O’. Their bond extends from their home to their professional lives. The duo does not hesitate to celebrate each other with eulogies and sweet names. In a video post where Judy was hailing him on September 10, 2024, Yul Edochie stated, “ljele Odogwu @judyaustin1 sure knows how to charge me up every time.”

Mercy Aigbe and Adeoti

Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, may not be a regular in front of the camera, but he plays a crucial role behind the scenes. He actively supports Mercy’s film projects and other ventures, often sharing promotional content on his social media pages. In an Instagram post on September 27, 2024, he praised Mercy’s dedication to her craft, stating, “Thumbs up to all the cast and the crew, but I was particularly won over by the effort and energy played by my beloved wife, Mercy Aigbe-Adeoti, put into preparing for her role Morenikeji.”

On her part, Aigbe does not fail to acknowledge her partner’s support. Last year, during  the premiere of her movie, ‘Ada Omo Daddy’, she stated that her husband went as far as becoming a skit maker to promote her film.

Lateef Adedimeji and Bimpe

For actor, Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Adebimpe, affectionately known as Mo Bimpe, their collaborative spirit showcases a deep connection in both their personal and professional lives. Speaking on their co-produced film, ‘Lisabi: The Uprising’, Mo shared on the red carpet, “We developed the script together. I was involved from the very beginning. I am the producer while my husband is the executive producer.”

Celebrating his wife in 2023, Adedimeji urged fans to thank her for her support, stating, “Wifey @mo_bimpe is my number 1 critic and my number 1 fan. Her support and confidence in my abilities keep me going. I work hard for you baby; for us. Thank you for always believing in me, for always helping me get better, for being my peace. I love you wifey. Y’all please thank my beautiful wife.”

Adekunle Gold and Simi

Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife Simi, are another power couple who prioritise mutual support. Adekunle has often expressed his belief in Simi’s talents. During an interview with Saturday Beats at her ‘Lost and Found’ album launch in July 2024, he remarked, “Working with her is always a good vibe. I’m favoured to be able to have input in Simi’s project. She is an amazing writer and the best one at that.

“Seeing the hardwork she put in come to life and watching everybody vibing to it is the best feeling in the world especially seeing how hard she has worked on this album.”

The same goes for Simi. In an interview that made the rounds in July, Simi had stated that she doesn’t listen to other people’s songs but listens to Gold’s music, because they are married.

Banky W and Adesua

Singer cum politician, Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W, celebrates his wife and actress, Adesua Etomi, at every given opportunity. He has likened her presence in his life to winning the lottery. Beyond their careers, their bond has weathered many storms, proving resilient through thick and thin.

This year, when the singer went through his fourth cancer surgery, his wife held his hands through the journey.

“Grateful for my wife, family, friends and pastors for their love, prayers and support,” he had written to appreciate her.

He also recently took to his Instagram page to show how he supports his wife. Posting a video of him cooking and cleaning the house, he had said, “In this season, l have been a chef, housekeeper, nanny, homework teacher, masseuse, and more, all as part of my duty as a supportive husband and present father of two,” he stated.

Recall that recently, Adesua relocated with her husband to the United States of America to pursue a master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC.

Meanwhile in an Instagram post last month, Adesua declared that Banky W is a very kind man stating, “I may have married the kindest person in the world. Never underestimate kindness.”

Mr Eazi and Temi

Singer, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi; and his fiancée, Temi Otedola, are consistently in the limelight for their adorable relationship. This duo not only celebrates each other’s achievements but also provides unwavering support in their respective careers

Recently, when Temi was named the Digital Ambassador for the renowned makeup brand, L’Oréal Paris, Mr Eazi couldn’t contain his excitement. He took to Instagram to celebrate her milestone, writing, “Congratulations @temiotedola on being the first ever African Digital Ambassador for the iconic @lorealparis (and) being the first Nigerian representing the brand not only across Africa but also globally. In turn, Temi celebrated Mr Eazi’s 33rd birthday this year by expressing her gratitude for his support. She wrote, “My entire life changed when I met you!
