A Junior Secondary School 3 student from St. Louis Girls’ Grammar School in Akure, Ondo State, Boluwatife Oladipo, tragically passed away during school hours after reportedly predicting her own death.

According to an Ondo State-owned newspaper, the 12-year-old girl fainted last Tuesday, just moments after expressing a desire to die.

Eyewitnesses shared that Boluwatife had been playing with her classmates when she suddenly made strange remarks, stating that she felt like she was about to die.

It was also revealed that the young girl had previously told her friends that she had asked her mother to have more children, but her request was not granted.

Shortly after making these statements, Boluwatife collapsed. She was initially rushed to the school clinic, where first aid was administered. She was then taken to the University Medical Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) in Akure, but was sadly confirmed dead on arrival.

A teacher from the school shared with the publication that Boluwatife’s actions indicated she might have been aware of her impending death.

“On Tuesday, during school hours, we were informed that a JSS 3 student had fainted, and we immediately responded,” the teacher said.

Reports state that Boluwatife had been playing outside with her friends when the bell rang for the next class, which was Mathematics. The students hurried back to their classroom. However, after entering the room, Boluwatife placed her head on the desk. Her classmates, noticing this, tapped her, reminding her that the teacher had arrived.

When they approached her, she lifted her head and said, “I want to die.”

Concerned, the students alerted the teacher, who quickly came to her side. When the teacher arrived, Boluwatife repeated, “I want to die.”

Other teachers were called, and Boluwatife was rushed to the school clinic. Even there, she reportedly kept insisting that she wanted to die.

She was then transferred to UNIMEDTH, where medical personnel observed that she was severely anemic. She was immediately placed on a blood transfusion, but tragically, she did not survive the process.

A source also revealed that some teachers visited Boluwatife’s home after her death, where her mother shared some heartbreaking details.

The mother explained that Boluwatife was her first child, born after years of waiting, and that her daughter had frequently asked her to have another child.

On the morning of the incident, Boluwatife had told her father that she would be traveling abroad for her Senior Secondary School education. She hugged him and waved goodbye to her mother before leaving for school.

The mother also recounted a strange event from that morning, where she claimed to have seen a ghost-like figure pass through their house. After sharing her experience with her husband, the couple prayed about it.
