Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe are at loggerheads over the Frenchman's wages from the last three months of his spell with Les Parisiens
The ongoing wage dispute between Kylian Mbappe and his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) continues to escalate as the French champions have reportedly refused to comply with a legal ruling ordering them to pay Mbappe €55 million (approximately ₦97 billion) in unpaid wages and bonuses.
LFP Orders PSG to pay Mbappe €55 million
Following Mbappe’s summer move to Real Madrid from PSG, the Ligue 1 champions refused to pay their former assistant captain his wages for the last three months of his contract.

After hearing the case, the Ligue de Football Professionnel’s (LFP) legal committee ruled that PSG must pay Mbappe his final three months of wages, withheld prior to his summer move to Real Madrid.
PSG defies court order over unpaid wages
Despite the LFP’s ruling, PSG has so far resisted, claiming the payment goes against a prior verbal agreement between the two parties.

The Ligue 1 giants contend that an informal "gentleman's agreement" with Mbappe meant that they would not suffer financial losses should he leave on a free transfer, which he did.
The LFP’s Advisory Joint Appeals Commission is set to issue a final ruling, anticipated to uphold the prior decision, though PSG retains options to appeal further.

Should PSG remain defiant, they could face severe consequences, including a potential transfer ban, while Mbappe may take the matter to an employment tribunal to obtain the unpaid wages.
