The Adamawa State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability through the Adamawa State Agribusiness Support Programme (ADAS-P).

This initiative ensures access to finance for smallholder farmers, processors, aggregators, traders, and exporters, boosting food security and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

According to Yunusa Ibrahim Gafai, ADAS-P’s Lead Consultant and Chief Operating Officer, “ADAS-P will provide guarantees through its credit guarantee scheme and facilitate N3 billion from three banks.”

In her own remarks, Mrs. Saso Benson Ali, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industries said, “this development aligns with ADAS-P’s mission to empower farmers, foster rural development, and ensure food security.”

ADAS-P aims to improve value addition in crops, livestock, agriculture, and agroforestry, attract investors, reduce youth restiveness, and create job opportunities.
