Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi train with Kano Pillars

Super Eagles duo Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi have been spotted training with Kano Pillars ahead of the Matchday 5 in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season

Both players were spotted at the former champions’ training ground on Thursday, preparing for the club’s NPFL Matchday 5 home fixture against Sunshine Stars.

“Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Nazir Laja, and the rest of the squad trained ahead of the NPFL 2024/25 Matchday 5 clash against Sunshine Stars this weekend,” the club confirmed via X on Friday.

Recall Musa had previously featured for the club during the 2009/10 season and again in 2021.

The 31-year-old winger recently parted ways with Turkish side Sivasspor in February.

For Abdullahi, he had a stint with Kano Pillars in 2012.

The right-back has, however, been a free agent since January 2023.

While it remains unknown if they have officially rejoined the team, both Super Eagles stars can still join the squad as free agents despite the closure of the NPFL summer transfer window.
