Ahead of the local government elections scheduled for Saturday, September 28, in Anbra State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA held a rally to officially kick off its campaign.

The event was led by the party’s National Leader and Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

The rally aimed to galvanize support from the citizens of Anambra as the party fields local government chairmanship candidates and councillors from all 21 local government areas.

Party supporters donned colorful APGA insignias, filling the venue to express their enthusiasm and commitment to the party’s vision.

In his address, Governor Soludo underscored the significance of grassroots elections as a catalyst for development.

He urged the public to support APGA in sustaining its trajectory of progress across the state.

The conduct of this local government election is a promise kept,” he remarked, noting that while some doubted the possibility of holding elections during previous campaigns, APGA remains dedicated to ensuring a free and fair electoral process—”one man, one vote.”

The State Chairman of APGA, Mr Ifeatu Obiokoye affirmed the party’s readiness for the upcoming elections, emphasising their commitment to a successful electoral outcome.

Among the notable speakers at the rally were the National Chairman of APGA, Sly Ezeokenwa, Iyom Bianca Ojukwu, Paschal Agbodike, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, and Dozie Nwankwo.

They reaffirmed APGA’s identity as a grassroots-oriented party, deeply rooted in the values and aspirations of Anambrarians.

The rally also saw the participation of Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and members of the APGA Board of Trustees, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd of supporters and members from across the state.

As APGA embarks on this electoral journey, the party aims to consolidate its legacy as a key player in Anambra’s governance and development.
