‘Arokodare lethal goals machine in the making’

Striker Tolu Arokodare, who is now joint top scorer in Belgium with eight goals after his strike at Gent Sunday, has been tipped to go on to be a deadly goals machine.

Fans have been critical of Arokodare for not scoring enough goals and he has also been compared with Paul Onuachu and Strupar who established themselves at Genk.

A former technical official Pierre Denier said he believes Arokodare will grow to be a ruthless and prolific goals scorer.

 “Now they are absolute heroes (Onuachu, Strupar) for the Genk supporters, two crowned top scorers who even made it to the Golden Shoe,” Denier told Het Belang van Limburg.

“But they also had a very difficult time in their early period in Genk. Where everyone doubted them, we continued to work with them with the technical staff.

 “Tolu is also undergoing such a metamorphosis. I think he is getting stronger and stronger in his role as a point of contact and he is also increasingly scoring goals. Hopefully he can also develop into a celebrated top scorer.”
