The Gunners remained unbeaten this season, moving within one point of leaders Liverpool ahead of the international break.

Southampton took a surprise lead in the 55th minute through Cameron Archer’s neat finish on the counterattack, capitalizing on Raheem Sterling’s loss of possession. However, Arsenal responded swiftly, with Kai Havertz equalizing just three minutes later. His curved finish off the post marked the turning point in the match.

Gabriel Martinelli added a second goal in the 68th minute, timing his run perfectly to meet Bukayo Saka’s cross at the back post.

Despite being unable to put the game out of reach, Arsenal ultimately sealed the win in the closing stages. Saka, provider of the first two goals, scored the third with a clinical finish in the 88th minute.

Southampton produced a spirited response, but their efforts were twice denied by the woodwork. Dibling’s deflected effort hit the post, and Adam Armstrong struck the crossbar from the resulting corner.

The victory extends Arsenal’s unbeaten run in all competitions to 16 matches, solidifying their position among the Premier League’s top contenders. In contrast, Southampton remains winless with just one point from seven games.
