Badminton teenage sensation, Mustapha Ali of Edo State has narrated how he came in to the 2024 National Youth Games, with the expectations of winning the gold medal.

Mustapha Ali came short of his expectations and settled for the bronze medal in Badminton doubles, representing Edo State.

He narrated his experience in an exclusive with our correspondent after the event on Thursday, 19 September 2024 in Asaba, Delta State.

Mustapha Ali said: ” I thought I would win the gold medal coming into the games”.

He spoke on the lessons learnt from the experience of Asaba 2024 as he enjoyed participating in the games.

” I enjoyed myself. The experience is a good lesson for me, I learned discipline in the games. I can now play the games and work harder next time “, Mustapha told our correspondent.
