The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has expressed its readiness to partner with the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, made this known at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja while receiving the management team of the commission.

Keyamo emphasised that public-private partnerships (PPP) are crucial for developing Nigeria’s infrastructure. He promised to set up a task force to drive the collaboration, with a fixed timeline to ensure quick delivery of projects.

The minister noted that upon assuming office, he encountered numerous litigations, which he has since addressed. He urged ICRC to follow all legal procedures in their pursuit of PPP projects.

Keyamo thanked the ICRC for their initiative and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s *Renewed Hope* agenda.

The director-general of ICRC, Dr. Jobson Ewalefoh commended the minister for his achievements in the aviation sector within a short period. He explained that the purpose of the meeting was to seek collaboration with the ministry on infrastructure development.

Ewalefoh highlighted the pivotal role of the aviation sector in driving Nigeria’s economy and emphasised the need for PPP to address the country’s infrastructure decay.

“With the right infrastructure in place, we can attract more investors to Nigeria,” he said, commending President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to improving the aviation sector.
