The Eko Hotels and Suites was a dazzling showcase of beauty and elegance on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as the Beauty in Motherland fair kicked off its three-day celebration with an unforgettable dinner party.

The evening attracted a host of media personalities and beauty influencers, all of whom arrived in stunning attire, adding to the event’s allure.

Highlighting the night was an award ceremony that recognised outstanding contributions within the beauty industry, with winners proudly accepting their accolades.

The audience was treated to an inspiring spoken word performance that celebrated Nigeria. The artist, clad in a striking red gown, delivered a heartfelt tribute in honour of Nigeria, marking the occasion of her independence.

Opening the festivities, the Lagos State Minister of Tourism, Toke Benson, expressed her admiration for Nigeria’s Independence Day and commended the men present for their support of the beauty industry.

She also encouraged parents to allow their children be whatever they wish to be, adding that the world is now expanding and there are numerous good career paths one could follow.

Founder of Beauty in Motherland, Beatrice Ene, also addressed the attendees, expressing gratitude for their support.

The three-day event boasted a variety of activities, including conferences, exhibitions of beauty products, and shopping experiences.

Among the notable personalities in attendance were the Group Managing Director of Fidelity Bank PLC, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe; Toke Makinwa, Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Tobe Ugeh, among others.
