Borno Governor appoints Mustapha Mainu as El-Kanemi FC chairman

The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of Mustapha Ibrahim Mainu as Chairman of the Board of El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club.

The appointment is in recognition of his unwavering commitment to the growth of the football club and the development of sports in the state.

Alongside Mustapha Mainu, Tahir Bala has been named Secretary of the board, while other members include Waziri Isa, Usman Mohammed Zumami, Ibrahim Mohammed, and a representative of the Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Maliki Mohammed.

This  appointments was confirmed in a formal statement by the Secretary to the Borno State Government, Bukar Tijani.

He urged the new board members to continue striving for the advancement of football and sports development across Borno State.

The governor congratulated the appointees, expressing confidence in their ability to elevate the status of El-Kanemi Warriors FC and contribute to the overall progress of sports in the state.
