Digital Marketing Professional, Bukola Ayeni has joined Union Bank of Nigeria as Team Lead-External Communications.

Before her new appointment, she was the Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Brand Management at Business School Netherlands Nigeria (BSNN) where she analyzed brand positioning and consumer insights, monitored market trends, and researched consumer markets and competitors’ activities.

Bukola is a natural leader with over six years of experience in marketing and corporate communications. She has held several leadership roles in Toastmasters, including serving as Vice President of Public Relations for the BSN Toastmasters Club for two years and as Public Relations Manager for the previous Division K for two years.

She embodies the gifts of charisma and confidence that draw people together to achieve a common goal. She uses her drive, determination, and sharp mind to achieve whatever objectives she sets for herself; she takes pride in her work ethic and impressive self-discipline.

Popularly known as Bukola Digital, she is bold, imaginative, and strong-willed, always finding a way – or making one while confronting challenges.
Bukola started her career at Bond FM, Ikeja Lagos as a Vox Pop Reporter (Internship), she then moved to Digify Africa as a Digital Marketing Graduate Trainee where she worked directly and presented briefs from known advertising agencies such as Noah’s Ark/Redwolf, Leo Burnett, DigitXplus, iProspect, Vyrus Digital, X3M Ideas, and Bluebird Communications.

At McKinsey & Company, she served as Forward Programme, Africa after which she ported to Business School Netherlands Nigeria (BSNN).

Bukola has a B.Sc in Mass Communications from Olabisi Onabanjo University and is currently an MBA student at Business School Netherlands. She holds several certifications from reputable organisations and institutions, such as Digital Marketing Institute, UK, and McKinsey Forward.

She is an alumna of the Africa Leadership Initiative—West Africa (ALIWA) Youth Leadership Programme and the Vice President of the alumni association.

Bukola is a bookworm and loves watching movies. She is passionate about coaching people on personal branding, LinkedIn optimisation, and other areas of personal development. She was recognised as one of 30 YALI Lagos’s Most Influential Women for 2021 and received several other awards.
