Buruj Football Club thrashed Bright Future Lions Football Academy 3-0 As Anjolaoluwa Idowu scored twice to open the 2024/2025 season on a winning note, Sports247 reports.

The match played at the Buruj FC playing ground in Ogolonto Ikorodu saw Buruj Football Club dominated play with beautiful exchange of passes in the midfield and show efficient marksmanship upfront by converting chances created .

Anjaoluwa Idowu who just extended his stay at the club for another year, clear all doubts to justify his extension with his positioning and touches in the attack ,as he troubled the Bright Future Lion’s defence line all day and justify his high rate with a brace .

Beyond playing in the Nigeria third tier league next season, the team is also preparing for two European tours which will see them play in the 2025 Manchester Cup, a trophy they won in 2018.

Buruj FC has also been confirmed for the 2025 Viareggio Cup in Italy as these international exposures will aid players faster growth and development in no small measures.
