CAF have issued a Sunday deadline to Libya to forward relevant documents in respect of a Group D 2025 AFCON qualifier against the Super Eagles that was not eventually played Tuesday night in Benina.

The Super Eagles refused to play the game and flew back to Nigeria after they were held at a Libyan airport for 20 hours.

CAF thereafter canceled the match and referred the matter to their disciplinary board.

Nasser Al-Suwaie, the LFF Secretary-General, told Libya Al-Ahrar Channel that a specialized lawyer has been assigned to represent Libya’s case.

CAF verdict is expected Tuesday.
