Who can Apply For The 2025 Scholarship Opportunities for International Students at Trent University?

Additionally, the eligibility criteria include the following: 

• You must be an international student paying international fees.
• You will be studying in Canada on a study permit.
• You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University for the Winter 2025, Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 intake. Postgraduate certificate and Master/PhD students are not eligible.
• You must meet Trent University’s Admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Proficiency Requirements. (Please note that students do not need an admission offer to apply for the scholarships and awards).
• You have a final high school average of 80% or more (Canadian Equivalent).
• You must submit a complete application through your myTrent portal before the “Apply Before Date” for each cohort.
• You will need to fulfil the conditions of your conditional offer letter and register for courses to receive the scholarship amount.

• Trent International Program Tuition Levy Scholarship: Covers international tuition and fees up to $34,000 per year, renewable for up to 4 years (total of $136,000).
• IB Student Global Citizen Awards: Provides up to $34,000 per year for tuition and fees, renewable for up to 4 years (total of $136,000).
• Trent-ESL: English for University Student Scholarship: Covers tuition and fees up to $34,000 per year for degree programs, renewable for up to 4 years (total of $136,000). ESL course fees are not covered.
• Moore Family International Scholarship: Offers $12,000 per year, renewable up to $48,000 over 4 years.
• Justin Chiu International Scholarships: Provides between $3,000 and $15,000 per year, renewable up to $60,000 over 4 years.
• Trent-United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarships: Covers tuition and fees up to $34,000 per year, renewable for up to 4 years (total of $136,000).

How Long Will the Award Last?

The scholarship duration is dependent on the scholarship type you are applying for.

How to Apply:

• Apply to Trent University for admission to your desired program at least 15 days before the “Apply before” date of the cohort.
• After applying, activate your myTrent portal using the student number provided in the application acknowledgement.
•  Once the portal is activated, find the “International Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards Application (2025)” form under the finances tab.
• Complete the scholarship application form before submitting it.
• You will receive a decision on a specific date, depending on when you apply.
• Further instructions regarding accepting the offer will be included in the scholarship offer letter.
