The Future Awards Africa (TFAA), the continent’s most prestigious awards platform dedicated to celebrating young African excellence, is proud to announce the nominees of the much-anticipated 18th edition. This year’s ceremony, themed “Celebrating the Great and Daring,” will continue its legacy of honouring the extraordinary achievements of young Africans who are fearlessly breaking boundaries and reshaping the continent’s future.

From pioneering entrepreneurs to ground breaking creatives, the nominees for this year’s event represent a cross-section of the continent’s brightest minds and boldest talents who are rewriting what it means to be young and African in today’s world. The nominees’ list spans 23 categories, including education, law, professional service, entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology, photography, acting, and music.

Speaking on this year’s nominees, Ayodeji Razaq, Executive Director of The Future Awards Africa, said, “It is with profound pride that we unveil this year’s nominees, a group that exemplifies the best of our continent. Their audacious vision and ground breaking accomplishments have earned them a rightful place among the ‘Great and Daring.’ We are honoured to celebrate their contributions and look forward to the transformative work they will continue to do.”

Notable nominees include Isaac Olayiwola (Layi Wasabi), Tunde Onakoya, Yinka Ashogbon, Chimamanda Chukwuma Pearl (QING MADI), Daniel Etiese Benson (BNXN FKA Buju), Femi Aluko, Genoveva Umeh, Seyebomi Ogunsanya (Sheye Banks), Uche Montana, Mike Afolarin, and Damilare Kuku.

Ladipoe, Mbryo, and Andre Vibez of Mavin announced the nominees for the 18th edition on Pop Central, DStv Channel 189, on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 3 PM WAT.
