Church usher shares how he's being called a ‘sinner’ for traveling home to celebrate New Yam & Masquerade festival

A church usher expresses his sorrow over being branded a sinner for returning to his village to partake in the New Yam and Masquerade festival.

The individual, who chose to remain anonymous, conveyed his experience in a post that circulated on social media.

He identifies as a committed member of his church, serving in the role of an usher.

Despite his dedication, he finds himself labeled a sinner solely for participating in the cultural traditions of his homeland.

He questions the rationale behind being deemed a sinner for joining in the masquerade festivities, especially when other nations celebrate events like Halloween.

His words …

“l am an usher in church normally but i find it funny that my everyone is calling me a sinner for always traveling home for our new yam and masquerade festival. Abeg how are these two sin? That we are happy for the arrival of anew yam or that we are celebrating and dancing ?? US no dey do Halloween?”

In other news, Celebrity designer Toyin Lawani recently had an encounter with the provocative singer Portable, expressing her admiration for his authenticity.

In a post on Instagram, Lawani referred to Portable as one of the most sincere entertainers she has come across.

She recognized his remarkable skill in capturing public interest and promoting himself consistently, which she considers a genuine talent.

Furthermore, she highlighted that, despite his success and wealth, he remains humble and connected to his origins.

She wrote:

“Wahala for who no like @portablebaeby.
He’s one of the most Authentic entertainers I’ve ever met.
He’s just a dram king that’s all,
It’s actually real talent to know how to grasp public attention while selling yourself nonstop,
If I tell you portable is actually calm in real life will you argue?
Most popularly asked question—if Portable has made this much money, why is he still living in the trenches?
I watched this  video and it made a lot of sense why he’s still there”.
