Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is sharing her plight as a business owner in Nigeria.

The mother of two noted how combining her career as an actor/filmmaker and a business owner hasn’t been a walk in the park but she keeps pushing. She noted how running a business in Nigeria can feel like an uphill battle as it has been a test of patience and resilience but through it all, she has learned to weather the storm and keep pushing forward.

Giving a shout-out to business owners, she noted how despite the challenges they’re facing in the country with economic crisis and inflation, they keep pushing. She further encouraged them to never give up and keep chasing their dreams while bearing in them that before they see the rainbow, it has to storm.

Big Shout out to every business owner in Nigeria right now. Despite the challenges we’re facing in the country/ economic crisis, inflation keeps pushing.

What a journey it has been! Running a business in Nigeria can often feel like an uphill battle. It’s been a test of patience and resilience. But through it all, I’ve learned to weather the storm and keep pushing forward…

As a business owner, combining my career as an Actor/Filmmaker has not been a walk in the park, but I keep pushing, and I am here to encourage you all not to give up. Let’s keep chasing our dreams, bearing in mind that before you see the rainbow, it has to storm.

Please don’t give up! We have come this far, and trust me, reaping season is around the corner. I pray we keep succeeding and reap bountifully.

Let this post serve as an encouragement to you just as I encourage myself.

May God see us through this phase and cause us to continue to thrive regardless!

Last year, Mercy Aigbe voiced out her frustration over the constant pressure in Nigeria. While reacting to the news of cargo piles at Lagos airport as a result of the protest by customs agents, Mercy lamented over how frustrating it is to run a business in Nigeria.

She noted how there was always pressure from everywhere, which has made things tiring”.

During the increase in dollars in 2022, she noted how draining this country has become, especially for business owners, as she questioned how her fellow entrepreneurs were surviving.
