The Customs Area Controller, Kwara Area Command, Compt. Faith Ojeifo has warned officers deployed for the local Government election in the state, slated for Saturday 21st September, 2024 to remain apolitical.

He gave the warning while addressing officers at the parade ground.

He urged them to be neutral and exhibit professionalism before, during and after the election.

The Customs boss disclosed that their major responsibility is to observe and compliment the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies deployed for this assignment.

He said officers must be responsible, diligent and be peaceful.

Ojeifo advised officers to be unbiased, fair-minded and objective irrespective of political affiliation and also   sounded a note of warning to officers to shun bribery.

Fifty (50) customs officers will be deployed for the local government elections assignment across the sixteen (16) local Government areas of the state.
