EFCC deployed many of its operatives in Egor and seven other local governments identified as hotspots.

Other hotspots listed which saw armed soldiers, police and others security agencies alongside the EFCC deployed in large numbers are Ovia south-west, Ovia north-east, Egor, Oredo, Ikpoba Okha, Etsako west, Etsako east, and Esan south-east.
