FG affirms approval of Oyedepo's Canaanland airstrip

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has approved the construction of a private airstrip at Canaanland, the headquarters of Living Faith Church in Ota, Ogun State

This approval was confirmed by the minister’s media aide, Tunde Moshood, who stated, “Yes, the minister approved the airstrip. It is a private airstrip, and that I can confirm.”

The Founder of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, shared the news with his congregation during the Tehillah Night Special Edition at Covenant University Chapel, Canaanland, on Sunday.

The event was part of a special thanksgiving service marking Oyedepo’s recent 70th birthday.

Oyedepo expressed his excitement about the development, noting that it would allow him to travel directly from the church premises without the need to fly to the airport first.

He said, “I am sure you will be glad to know that the Federal Government has approved an airstrip for Canaanland.

“I won’t need to fly a helicopter to the airport. I can leave from here to wherever I am going. Members with their planes will have where to land and park.”

The airstrip is expected to improve transportation for worshippers and visitors, especially during large church events that attract people from all over the world.
