Despite dominating possession, England struggled to impress, with Finland creating several scoring opportunities.

Grealish opened the scoring with his fourth international goal, courtesy of Angel Gomes’ exceptional pass.

However, England lost momentum, and Finland pushed for an equalizer.

Alexander-Arnold’s stunning 25-yard free-kick sealed the win, followed by Rice’s near-post finish from Ollie Watkins’ cross. Finland’s Arttu Hoskonen headed home a late consolation.

Interim manager Lee Carsley made six changes from the Greece defeat, including handing Dean Henderson his first start. England’s performance improved after a double substitution, introducing Watkins and Noni Madueke.

The win keeps England on track for an immediate return to the Nations League top tier ahead of next month’s trip to Athens.
