Early in the morning today within the hours of 5:30am, I left my house to see someone before he travels for a business trip. On my way going to his place which wasn't far from mine, I saw a sacrifice dropped on the roadside with an egg(fresh) on it and then N200. I had to shift and walked past. While returning in less than five minutes I had just past that route, I saw a man coming from that direction. He was cleaning a note on his hand. I said to myself this man might have picked up that money.
Immediately I passed there, I didn't see the money and I was shocked. Yes there's hungry in the country but picking a thing as such is beyond what I will encourage or support anyone to do. What's even N200 to start with? Did he know what was done on the sacrifice? This is how people bring upon themselves strange happenings and initiation or even exchange their star.
I heard some people even eat those sacrificed food/fruits. Very strange I must say.
One thing I can never do is to pick money on the roadside. Why should I do that? I have walked past a thousand naira note and sometimes five hundred naira which the owner mistakenly misplaced and you'll never see me bend to pick it. I was raised never to take what doesn't belong to me and I grew up holding unto this tenets. This I'll also instil on my children.
Already out and chilling. It's cold out here. I pray it won't rain before I get back home.
