Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has replied to social media activist Very Dark Man over accusations of assaulting a man.

Kemi Filani reported that Very Dark Man had called for the arrest of Portable for allegedly assaulting a man in the toilet at the just-concluded Felabration event in Lagos. Sharing a clip of the singer and the alleged man, he called for the singer’s arrest as he urged the victim to reach out to him.

Reacting to it, Portable, in a video posted on his Instagram page, told the activist to ask about him in Abuja as he made him know that online madness is different from real-life madness.

The controversial singer called for his fans and supporters to say no to ripping and online bullying.

“Who dey cripple-ye Awa Ọmọ who dey who dey we go cripple you who dey come dey fear only God we fear says no to ripping say no to online bullying.”

Portable since his entrance to the music industry has become well-known for his series of controversies and love for fighting.

Back in September, he had assaulted a Pastor by slapping him. In the video obtained from his live session, Portable was engaging with his fans online when he heard a Pastor preaching outside. The singer immediately went outside to confront the Pastor, and it led to him hitting the preacher. Portable went back inside and kept ranting in Yoruba language, mentioning how he only practices African traditional religion.

In July, Portable, caused a commotion in Lagos as he fought dirty with a bike man, who he accused of stealing his phone. In viral videos, the singer, who wore a yellow hoodie, was captured engaging in a fistfight with the bike man as Lagosians gathered to separate them.

Last year, the Ogun State Nigerian police had arraigned the street singer on six counts bordering on assault at the Ifo High Court in Ogun State on Monday morning, April 3rd, 2023.

This came after the street artist rained curses and rough-handled some men of the Nigeria police surfaced on the Internet.
