Rapper and singer, Chibuzor Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno, released his fifth album titled, ‘Full Time Job’ on Friday.

Speaking at the album listening experience on Victoria Island, Lagos State, Phyno described it as the best of all his works.

The 37-year-old rapper had been teasing fans with tracks from this project for months. He stated that the album contains a piece of him that people don’t know about.

He said, “The album is basically for creatives. The time one puts in to develop one’s skill shows on one’s project. That’s where one’s greatness lies, so I put in my time. That’s why I don’t release music every year. I need new experiences before I make music.

“This album is a masterpiece that did not happen by chance. I have made music my full-time Job. Every piece of music I make is inspired by my daily experiences. Where I was in 2019 or 2021 is not where I am now. So, I feel blessed and it’s probably my best one yet.

“I feel like as time passes by, one grows, and I feel like I have grown so much musically. I’m excited for people to hear this piece of me that they haven’t really heard of before.”

The album comprising 15 tracks features UK rapper ArrDee on the track ‘Time of My Life,’ created together in a London studio; and also includes collaborations with notable artists like Burna Boy, Johnny Drille, and controversial figure Hushpuppi, with the latter’s inclusion sparking controversies online.
