Over a year after setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours, Hilda Baci has given an exclusive insight into her life post-record.
The talented chef spoke about the intense preparation leading up to her famous “cookathon” challenge, which drew attention from Nigeria and beyond.
Baci shared that a friend suggested she could take a break during the event and still cook, but she rejected the idea.
She said, “I didn’t want to jeopardize my chances of getting the record.”
Baci explained that, while she could have taken an easier route and still gained attention, her goal was always to win the World Record plaque, driven by her vision and hard work.
Looking forward, Baci acknowledged the common stereotypes about women who look like her.
She noted that many people underestimate such women, which motivated her to push even harder.
As for her fame, Baci said she has handled it well but prioritizes keeping her personal life private to protect her peace and brand.
