TODAY’S TRANSFORMATIONAL TRUTH 15TH OCTOBER 2024 – #Honour All Men

Hello Friends,

I hope you’re feeling uplifted today! On Triple T, we’re diving into a theme that is foundational to building meaningful relationships and lasting success: #HONOUR ALL MEN.

Let me begin by saying, “Respect and honor open doors that talent and skill cannot.” In life, it’s easy to focus on our goals and achievements, but we must never forget the importance of showing honor to others along the way. The Ultimate Book says in Romans 12:10, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Friends, “When we choose to honor people, we’re sowing seeds that can unlock untold possibilities in our lives.”

Consider the story of Aliko Dangote and his mentor, Sanusi Dantata, one of the most successful businessmen in West Africa during the 20th century. Many people know Aliko Dangote as Africa’s richest man, but few realize how the principle of honor played a key role in his early success. Dangote’s uncle, Sanusi Dantata, was a successful businessman who had established himself in the commodities trade long before Aliko entered the field. When Dangote was starting out, it was Dantata who not only supported him financially by giving him a loan to kick-start his business but also provided invaluable guidance and mentorship.

Aliko Dangote didn’t just take the loan and run with it—he honored Dantata’s wisdom, experience, and counsel. He consistently sought advice, recognizing that his uncle’s decades of experience could help him avoid costly mistakes. Dantata’s influence helped shape Dangote’s business acumen, especially in the early years when he was building his empire from scratch. “Every man you see is multi-dimensional; the dimensions you honor are the dimensions that deliver to you.” By honoring Dantata’s expertise, Aliko positioned himself to learn from the best and eventually grow into a business magnate.

Dantata taught Dangote the value of integrity, hard work, and patience—qualities that became pillars of the Dangote Group’s success. By showing honor, Aliko wasn’t just learning business tactics; he was being equipped with the wisdom that would sustain his business over decades. His humility and respect for his uncle’s teachings created a strong foundation, and today, Dangote is known not just for his wealth but for his ability to maintain long-term relationships and partnerships in business.

As people of faith, we are reminded in 1 Peter 2:17, “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.” Friends, “When you honor others, you reflect God’s love and position yourself to receive from the wealth of their experiences, knowledge, and connections.” The relationship between Dantata and Dangote teaches us that success is not just about individual effort; it’s also about recognizing and honoring those who have paved the way for us.

As I conclude, let me remind you that “Honor is a universal key that opens doors to favor and success.” Whether in business, family, or friendships, showing honor to others allows you to tap into the rich resources they carry. You never know who God has placed in your path to bless you—but honor is the key that unlocks that blessing.

In conclusion, I encourage you today to HONOUR ALL MEN. No matter their status, title, or background, treat everyone you encounter with respect and kindness. You may be surprised by the incredible dimensions of value that people can add to your life when you honor them.
