I have been fasting since 1996 – Odumeje

Odumeje, a controversial cleric, has explained why he has been fasting and praying continuously since 1996.

He made this revelation to his congregation during a church service, stating that he rarely eats because he is constantly engaged in prayer and fasting, a practice he has maintained for nearly three decades.

Odumeje shared that he seldom eats at home, dedicating himself daily to fasting and prayer.

“I’m not a guy for eating. I have been fasting and praying since 1996 and continue to do so now. That is why, when you come to my home, no one will enquire whether you want to eat,” he explained during the service.
