itel RS4 is a budget gaming phone from itel. The smartphone is optimized for gaming performance offering a powerful processor for its price range, a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, large memory capacity, and fast charging with bypass charging. itel RS4 features a 6.56-inch display, a 50MP rear camera, MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, stereo speakers, and a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging capacity.

Design and Display

Design-wise, the itel RS4 is similar to the itel S24. Both feature a punch-hole display and a round camera module on the back. Where they differ is that the RS4 has a race car stripe design down the middle on the back and the camera module is bigger and centered.

The RS4 is available in three colors with the Silvery White and Lurex Black models having the same stripe design. The stripe design on the Elegant Beige model is different.

itel RS4 features a 6.56-inch IPS punch-hole display with a resolution 720 x 1612 pixels. For good gaming performance, the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

In terms of the view quality, this is not the best display at this price point, but if you consider the 120Hz refresh rate, the powerful processor, and itel’s focus on gaming for this smartphone, you will cut it some slack.

The display is decent for watching movies and playing games. It also features 480 nits of peak brightness.

The power and volume control buttons are located on the right side while the SIM tray is located on the left. The fingerprint scanner is on the power button and the SIM tray has two Nano SIM slots and a dedicated memory card slot.

itel RS4 features stereo speakers with one speaker grill on the top side and the other on the bottom side. Also on the bottom side, you will find the USB Type C port, the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the microphone/mouthpiece.

Camera

Again camera is not the strong suit of this itel phone, but it still takes decent enough photos and videos and if you know your way around a camera, there is a Pro mode that you can tinker with for the best results.

Photos and videos taken in good lighting conditions usually come out okay.

The display may not be the best at this price point, but still delivers for gaming. With its 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate performance is fluid and gaming smooth.

The provision of 8GB or 12GB of RAM plus the ability to upgrade RAM capacity by up to 100% using virtual RAM also helps a lot with gaming performance. This means you can get up to 24GB RAM on the model with 12GB of physical RAM.
