One of the biggest Premier League fixtures will take place on Sunday evening when the Blues travel to face the Red Devils at Old Trafford. Here are predictions, team news, betting tips, and possible line-ups for the game.

Following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, Manchester United took to the pitch against Leicester City in the EFL Cup with former Red Devils striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy as the interim manager.

It felt like the shackles were off, as they scored four goals in the first half to secure a 5-2 win, which took them into the EFL Cup quarterfinals, where they will face Tottenham.

The 2-1 defeat against West Ham in their last PL game was the ultimate nail in the coffin for Ten Hag, and the Red Devils will hope to bounce back from that on Sunday.

Meanwhile, last year’s EFL finalists, Chelsea, crashed out of the competition as they lost 2-0 to Newcastle United at St. James Park.

Having beaten the same side 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in the PL last weekend, the Blues will hope they can make it two league wins in a row when they make the trip to the North this weekend.

Manchester United vs. Chelsea Head to Head

The hosts have a good record on home soil in this fixture, having failed to lose any of the last 11 (6W, 5D), while they will be looking to win three home games in a row against the Blues for the first time since 1957.

However, Chelsea won the last meeting between both sides, though it was at Stamford Bridge, and they have the opportunity to win two games in a row against Manchester United since 2011.

Its worthy to note that this is the most drawn fixture in PL history, with 26 of the previous 64 meetings between these sides ending up level.

The home side have a number of players sidelined, including Antony (ankle), Kobbie Mainoo (muscle), Tyrell Malacia (knee), and Mason Mount.

Harry Maguire (ankle), and Leny Yoro (foot) are also sidelined, while Luke Shaw (calf) is yet to feature this season.

Van Nistelorry made a host of changes for the win over Leicester, with the likes of Altay Bayındır, Victor Lindelof, and Joshua Zirkzee all playing from the start, but Andre Onana, Noussair Mazraoui, and Rasmus Hojlund are likely going to return to the XI for Sunday’s clash.

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns. However, a host of regulars had their rest in the loss to Newcastle and are expected to be back in the starting XI for this game.

Manchester United vs. Chelsea Predictions & Betting Tips

The new manager bounce myth appears to be happening with Manchester United if their performance and result against Leicester are anything to go by.

However, Chelsea have looked pretty good a host of times this season and will be seeing this as a game they can get something from.
