The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Government’s commitment to transform the education sector as the nation marked its 64th Independence Anniversary.

He noted that significant strides have been made in addressing the pressing issues facing education in the country.

“Our government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is dedicated to improving education accessibility and quality. We are developing guidelines for inclusive education, upgrading research facilities, and sponsoring innovation programs through  the DOTS initiative.”

According to him, the Ministry is committed to tackling challenges in the sector, including collaborating with security agencies to crack down on certificate forgery.

“Our goal is to ensure that schools receive the innovative ideas, training, and support needed to enhance their standards, making education more affordable and accessible to all Nigerians,” Professor Mamman explained.

As the nation moves forward, Professor Mamman assured Nigerians that education would remain a top priority for fostering national development.

“Our mission is to use education as a tool to empower every Nigerian citizen to reach their full potential.”

The Minister therefore urged all citizens to join forces and build a prosperous future for the country’s education sector.
