Mohbad’s Mum Faces Possible Lawsuit as Primeboy Threatens Legal Action Over Defamation

One of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad’s closest friends, Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has threatened to take legal action against Mohbad’s mum, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, over alleged defamatory comments she made about him.

According to a statement issued by Primeboy’s lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, Mohbad’s mum granted an interview where she claimed that Primeboy had altercations with her son when he was alive.

“In the said interview, you alleged that our client always fought the late Mohbad and consistently complained about his neglect by the late Mohbad since he rose to stardom. You also alleged that our client was advised to run away after the death of Mohbad to avoid being suspected regarding the death,” the statement read in part.

Primeboy described her remarks as defamatory, stating that they were deliberate and had harmed his reputation and the love he receives from fans.

“Your actions are deliberate to injure and traduce the integrity of our client, who is a rising star in the music industry, and your allegations have greatly and negatively impacted the affection and love being enjoyed by our client from his fans and well-wishers around the world,” the statement added.

Primeboy has given Mohbad’s mum a seven-day ultimatum to retract her statement, failing which he will proceed with legal action. Mohbad tragically passed away under controversial circumstances in September 2023.
