Popular singer Skales had a lot to get off his chest, and was with regards to his experience with the Nigerian Police.

On his tweet, Skales wrote;

”My hue for Nigerian police still stands …. very horrible set of humans police wey no get money go dey stress fellow poor man knowing fully well what their doing is wrong…

knowing fully well that they are just taking advantage of power given to them… e be like say na how to stop Benz them dey teach dem sef. they just mount for orchid road shamelessly stressing youths to end up begging for money. no honour at
all us*less people

Like @NigeriapolicePR….. why do you have like all your police men on orchid road like kilode..

they can’t do me sat cos I’m no crim hal but it’s that legal to have like 3 to 4 check points just 2 minutes drive away from each other.

all they do is stop Benz and ask very stup*d questions and when they don’t get wat they want na either insults or begging for money. look into it o cos now I go just dey wear camera for body they post everything online …. its super annoying”

Skales calls out the Nigerian Police.

Skales has had a bit of bad blood with the authorities over time. About a year ago, the ‘Shake Body’ singer took to social media to lament over the fact that his house was raided by the EFCC, and he even released footage.

Other celebrities like Kate Henshaw have also had unpleasant run-ins with the authorities. The veteran actress took to social media to complain about police extortion, and the fact that the cause unnecessary traffic on the road.

BBNaija winner Phyna also came out a few weeks back, lamenting bitterly about police extortion, citing that they’re always demanding for money, even when your documents are complete.
