RUNI

Emmanuel Ozioma, aka Runi

A budding singer, Emmanuel Ozioma, aka Runi, has said that he named his new song ‘Zombie’, because it captures the tumultuous emotions that come from heartbreak and the feeling of being taken for granted.

He told Saturday Beats, “It is a vibrant anthem that reflects my deep affection for a girl who ultimately failed to appreciate me. Produced by the talented Snazzy N, the song is imbued with catchy melodies that radiate throughout its compelling chorus. The inspiration behind it comes from the tears and pain of my last relationship. I went through a rough patch, and it was through my music that I found a way to express that pain. I entered the studio and sang my heart out on the microphone.”

According to him, what sets the song apart is his journey back into music after a brief hiatus. He stated that he spent the time focused on personal healing, allowing him to return to the studio with a fresh perspective.

“Taking that time off was crucial for me. It gave me the space to reflect and craft a song that truly resonates with my experiences and emotions. I wanted to ensure that when I returned, I was bringing something authentic and meaningful to my fans.”
