Napoli coach compares Osimhen with direct replacement Lukaku

Comparisons between Victor Osimhen and his direct replacement at Napoli, Romelu Lukaku, have continued with former Napoli coach Arturo Di Napoli also giving his opinion.

Di Napoli said Osimhen and Lukaku are two different type of strikers with the experienced Belgium star more of a team player.

“Lukaku, who compared to Osimhen, is more of a team player, scores fewer goals but does more for the team,” said Di Napoli, who also played for the Naples club.

“Lukaku is a very fundamental team player, it is no coincidence that (Antonio) Conte wanted him.

“When the two of them are in the same team, they are at their best.”

Lukaku has enjoyed a flying start to life at Napoli, who are top of the Serie A table with 16 points from seven matches, two points ahead of defending champions Inter Milan going into the international break.
