Mr Peter Ukachi Opara has resumed as the 45th Commissioner of Police in the Cross River State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force.

A reception ceremony in his honour was held yesterday at the Command’s Headquarters, Diamond Hill, Calabar.

As part of the ceremony, Opara conducted a formal inspection of the Sentry guard at the quart guard, and this was overseen by the Command’s Management Team.

Opara succeeds CP Gyogon Augustine Grimah, who has been redeployed to Kaduna State Police Command.

Opara said he will consolidate on the feats of his predecessor, even as he warned criminals to steer clear of the state.

Grimah spent a little over a year in Cross River which time saw reduction in criminal activities in parts of the state.
