Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Ali combined to inflict first home defeat on Rangers International in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL on Wednesday, Sports 247 reports.

Kano Pillars endured a nervy ending despite scoring four goals in the first half to snatch maximum points at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium as Rangers mounted a spirited fight back in the second half to end the game 4-3 after ninety minutes.

Rabiu Ali and Ahmed Musa combined to destroy the host with Rabiu scoring two goals from the penalty spot with Ahmed Musa the penalty provider while he scored a goal for himself with Mohammed Zulkifilu completed the first half rout of the defending champions.

The Fidelis Ilechukwu boys mounted a big challenge in the second half scoring three goals but it was a bit too little as the Enugu based lost their third match of the season.

The result catapulted Kano Pillars into the top four on through with ten points, edging Rangers to the position on number of goals scored, on the fifth position with ten points.
