The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the handover of alleged kidnap suspect, Joseph Efe, by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

Recall that operatives of the NSCDC, FCT Command, had arrested Efe, 30, on September 17 in connection with alleged kidnapping, robbery and attempted murder of one Olivia Chukwuemeka.

THE WHISTLER reported that a day after Efe’s arrest, the FCT Police demanded transfer of the suspect.

Efe had reportedly confined his victim to a room, gagged her with her legs and hands tied with tape in Top View Hotel, Wuse, allegedly for ritual purposes.

The police, in a statement on Monday, reiterated their commitment to collaborating with other relevant security agencies in efforts against crime and criminality within the FCT.
