Osun Governor Appoints Gospel Singers Adegbodu Twins as Special Advisers

The popular Juju gospel singers, the Adegbodu Twins, have been appointed as the Special Advisers to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Entertainment and Tourism.

A statement disclosed that their appointments were based on their hard work and resilience in the gospel music industry over the years. They are expected to use their platforms to attract tourism to Osun State, which boasts Ile-Ife, the cradle of the Yoruba race.

Business Post gathered that the talented singers, as part of the strategies to achieve this target, are planning to launch a Festival of Light to honour the Osun State Governor in December.

The Adegbodu Twins said they have been singing professionally for 25 years with their first album launched in 1999.

According to them, they did not jump into the space because of fame or money but were inspired by God to tow the path of music.

The singers are on the verge of unveiling a multimillion audio/visual studio in Ibadan, Oyo State, soon, and are also planning to present a plot of land to their band boys in the same ancient city.

But before these happen, the musicians are gearing up for their birthdays coming up on Friday, October 4, 2024.

To celebrate this, they intend to release a 50-track album to the delight of their teeming fans, who are never tired of hearing their sonorous voices.

The gospel singers, who advised up-and-coming artists to be patient, will host a concert in Ibadan next year tagged God Concert. It will have 10 Christian artists and 10 Muslim artists performing together on a stage.
