TODAY’S TRANSFORMATIONAL TRUTH 22ND OCTOBER 2024 – #Overcome Rejection

Hello Friends,

I hope you’re feeling motivated today! On Triple T, we’re diving into a theme that speaks to one of life’s biggest hurdles: #OVERCOME REJECTION.

Let me begin by saying, “Rejection is not a dead end—it’s a redirection.” Too often, we take rejection personally, allowing it to define our worth and limit our potential. But in reality, rejection can be a stepping stone to something greater if we persevere and learn from it. The Ultimate Book says in Psalm 37:24, “Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Friends, “Rejection may knock you down, but with faith and persistence, you can rise even stronger.”

Consider the story of Femi Otedola, one of Nigeria’s most prominent businessmen. Femi didn’t always have it easy. Early in his business career, he faced significant setbacks. After building a successful business empire, Otedola’s oil and gas company, African Petroleum (AP), went through a period of severe financial trouble. The global financial crisis, coupled with poor management decisions and unfavorable business conditions, caused his company to face a massive debt of over $1 billion.

During this period, Femi Otedola experienced a wave of rejection from potential investors, business partners, and even financial institutions. Many counted him out, assuming he wouldn’t recover from the collapse. But Otedola refused to let rejection define his destiny. Instead of giving up, he made tough decisions, sold off assets, and reorganized his business strategy. He focused on what mattered most which was getting back on his feet.

Through his resilience and determination, he not only overcame the rejection but bounced back even stronger. Otedola shifted his focus to the power sector and other investments, diversifying his portfolio. Today, he’s a billionaire, and his story teaches us that “Rejection is not the end of the road;but it’s only the beginning of a comeback.”

So as people of faith, we are reminded from ultimate book in 2 Corinthians 4:9, that “We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” So Friends, “When you face rejection, don’t lose heart. Rather see every rejection as a preparation for something greater, because God always does something bigger, if we are not quitters”

As I conclude, let me remind you that “Rejection is only final if you accept it.” Whether you’ve faced rejection in your career, relationships, or personal goals, don’t allow it to determine your future. Use it as fuel to keep going and grow from it.

In conclusion, I encourage you today to OVERCOME REJECTION. Don’t let setbacks or rejections hold you back. Keep pushing forward, knowing that every ‘no’ brings you closer to the ‘yes’ that will change your life.
