The Gunners suffered without Bukayo Saka and struggled to win at home against Shakhtar Donetsk

Arsenal returned from their first defeat of the season against Bournemouth to conquer Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners were fortunate with the goalscoring as Shakhtar goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk put through his own goal to give Arsenal all three points in the 1-0 win.

Arsenal’s blunt attack was typified by Leandro Trossard, who missed the Gunners’ biggest chance of the game from the penalty spot, failing to extend the home side’s lead.

The win gives Arsenal puts them fourth on the Champions League table with seven points after three matches and gets them back to winning ways after their loss in the Premier League.
