Technical Director Kabir Dogo expressed disappointment after Nasarawa United suffered a 3-0 defeat against Remo Stars at their stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, on Sunday evening.

“It’s a result we are eager to move past as a team,” he stated. While the scoreline suggests a one-sided affair, Dogo believes that the resilience shown by his players in the first half provides a foundation to build upon.

The team went into halftime with a score of nil-nil, displaying promising moments, but ultimately, they were unable to capitalize on the scoring opportunities that came their way.

In the second half, Remo Stars took advantage of defensive lapses, netting three goals in just seventeen minutes. Sikiru Alimi, Stanley Joseph, and Ismail Sodiq made the Solid Miners pay for their mistakes, and Dogo credited the opposing team for executing their game plan effectively.

“It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I want to emphasize that this loss will not define our season,” he added.
