The leaked Ballon d'Or result list confirms the Real Madrid star will be crowned the winner for 2024
The final results for the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards have reportedly been leaked, crowning Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior as the winner of the prestigious award.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the final results for the 2024 Ballon d’Or have surfaced, showing that Barazilian maestro Vinicius Junior has been rewarded for his stellar year with Los Blancos with the biggest individual honour in football.
In addition to Vinicius being voted as the winner, the report also indicated that Manchester City’s Rodri finished in second place, while Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham rounded off the top three.
Another Los Blancos star, Kylan Mbappe apparently finished in fourth place, while Manchester City’s Erling Haaland placed sixth, leaving Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal in seventh.

There was no mention about the position of Nigerian star, Ademola Lookman, who was the only African player to make the shortlist.
Vinicius rewarded for super season
Vinicius winning the Ballon d’Or would come as no surprise to most followers of the game, as the Brazilian star has been the outright favourite for the crown.

After scoring in the final of the UEFA Champions League to seal a 24-goal season to help Real Madrid to European and LaLiga honours, Vinicius was seen as the most likely candidate to cart away the award.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti had already alluded to Vinicius being the most deserving player for the award after his incredible hat-trick against Borussia Dortmund and was backed up in that sentiment by Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez, and Brazilian great Neymar.

The Ballon d’Or ceremony is set to take place tonight, on the 28th of October, where official results will be made public.
