Nigerian Afrobeat legend Seun Kuti has addressed his relationship with online activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman.

This is amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Bobrisky and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Seun Kuti, son of music icon Fela Kuti, emphasized that he has no control over Verydarkman's online activities. He explained that he couldn't influence Verydarkman's decision to leak an audio call involving Bobrisky and an EFCC official.

Using the leaked audio as context, Seun clarified that Verydarkman only informed him about Bobrisky's alleged bribe with the EFCC, which he wanted to expose. Seun denied having prior knowledge of the recording or its contents.

"I didn't have any say in how Verydarkman interpreted or shared the clip," Seun stated. "If I had tried to stop him, he wouldn't have listened."

Also, Seun apologized for Verydarkman's manner of addressing senior lawyer, Femi Falana in the viral video, acknowledging it was inappropriate.

Meanwhile, Verydarkman, has been at the center of the controversy, sparking heated debates online. Seun Kuti's clarification aims to establish boundaries and distance himself from Verydarkman's actions.
