Actress, Folorunsho Adeola, popularly known as Arike Gold, has acknowledged that social media has had a positive impact on her business.

She told Saturday Beats, “I love social media. I want it to remain the way it is because I make money from it through my business. Most of my customers are in the Diaspora.”

The actress also stated that her hair is the most expensive fashion item she owns. According to her, “It is very expensive.”

When asked about her approach to roles in Nollywood, Adeola explained that her appearance often depends on the script’s requirements.

Reflecting on the trend in the industry when people are not paid their worth under the guise of friendship and relationship, she said, “It was like that even before we got into the industry. When we got in, we had to do free jobs. Now, things have changed. We are in the age of social media. One can even be a celebrity on Instagram before being a celebrity on TV. Then we were doing it for our friends; now it has to come with money.”
