Anyanwu Kelechi, known professionally as SoftKid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who is making waves in the Afrobeat scene. Born on October 7th, SoftKid grew up in Aba, Abia State, where his passion for music began. In 2024, he signed with Loud Music, marking a major step in his career. His breakout single, “Sinner,” produced by Miz and mixed and mastered by DelaCruize, blends catchy rhythms with introspective lyrics, showcasing SoftKid’s unique sound. With influences drawn from his personal experiences and Nigerian culture, his music stands out as a fresh voice in the rapidly evolving Afrobeat genre.

SoftKid graduated from the Federal Polytechnic Nekede in 2018, earning a degree in Computer Science. This academic background gives him an edge in navigating the digital aspects of the music industry. Although he hails from Imo State, his upbringing in the vibrant city of Aba shaped his worldview, while his current residence in Lagos exposes him to the bustling Nigerian music scene.
