A Tunisian pilot has shared his experience flying the Nigerian Super Eagles to Libya for their recent match, revealing a sudden diversion to a different airport mid-flight
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the pilot explained that despite initial plans to land at the designated airport, Libyan officials instructed him to divert to another location.
The pilot claimed he attempted to notify officials at least eight times, but was told the order came from the highest authority and must be followed.
He expressed concern about potential safety risks, as fuel calculations were based on the original destination.
This account comes amid reports of alleged mistreatment of the Super Eagles by Libyan authorities. The pilot’s statement has generated significant interest, with many reacting in the comments section.
